How to Feng Shui Your Bedroom

Your bedroom is your kingdom. This is the place from where you manage your life – not only your health, but also love, wealth, career, and relationships.

First of all, you need to declutter your bedroom (and all your house too!). Keep your bedroom clean and let fresh air in.

Then, have a look under your bed. You might be surprised what you will find there! Remove all the stuff out of the bedroom and sort it out. Get rid of all old clothes, shoes, and bags that you do not wear and suitcases and furniture that you do not use. Do not keep suitcases or shoes in your bedroom: they carry the energy of walking, running, and travelling. You need to rest in your bedroom.

Your health is in the center of your house and bedroom. You can support your health area in both by putting healthy flowers with round leaves.

The position of your bed is very important. You need to see the door from your bed without turning your head. It means that your bed cannot be attached to the wall where the door to the bedroom is. The bed should be positioned opposite the door neither.

The headboard of a bed represents support and stability in your life. Your bed needs to have a good solid headboard without any perforation. It should be positioned tightly both on the wall and on the bed. The bed needs to have space on the other three sides. Especially, there should not be anything close to your legs when you stretch them. And as there are two sides of the bed, place two bedside tables for you and your partner or a future partner.

Do not position your bed under beams or a sloping ceiling. You might have a feeling that something can fall on you anytime and your sleep will not be deep and refreshing. The ceiling should be high enough so that you feel you have a lot of space. Be aware of “sharp arrows” pointing at your bed – a corner of a table, a wall, or a wardrobe. Put on some cloth over the sharp corners or make them round if it’s possible. If you have a window behind your bed draw firm curtains over it for the night. Do not hang pictures in big frames or heavy bookshelves above your head, or a chandelier anywhere above the bed.

Pay attention to colours of the walls in your bedroom and in all your house. Yellow, orange, blue, green, purple (lilac or lavender), and pink are the best colours for healing and recovery. The same applies to the linen in your bedroom. I recommend you replace the furniture if it’s black or dark. Light brown wooden furniture has healing effects.

Have a look at the carpets in your bedroom (and in all your house too!). Do they cheer you up when you look at them? If not, replace them. Everything you look at in your bedroom (and in all your house) must make you feel content.

Decorate your bedroom with pictures that cheer you up when you look at them. Hang pictures of your dream life on the walls of your bedroom. Imagine all areas of your life, starting with your perfect health, and picture them in detail. With perfect health, what else comes to your mind? Maybe improving relationships in your family? A new house? A sailboat? A new car? A new dream job? More travels? Where would you like to go? Make your vision board. Draw your dreams or find pictures that describe them, print them in a big size and decorate your bedroom with them.

Do yourself a favour. No TV, a computer, a laptop, or a mobile phone in the bedroom. Your bedroom is a place where you need to get a good rest and good sleep. Do not disturb the peaceful energy of your bedroom. Make it a habit if you want to have a good sleep and be healthy. If you need to wake up at a certain hour buy a classic alarm clock. Switch off the Wi-Fi not only for the night but whenever you do not need it. Wi-Fi waves can cause serious health issues.

I wish you a peaceful good night!
